Hansbrough Sporting News National Player Of The Year

First off I want to congratulate Tyler Hansbrough on his amazing career thus far. His jersey will soon be up there with Jordan's, Jamison's, and the other UNC greats. The junior was honored as national player of the year by Sporting News on Tuesday, ensuring he will become just the eighth Tar Heel to have his number retired. He has been everything a Tar Heel fan like myself could ask for. His hustle, passion, and hard work is absolutely remarkable. I have never seen a player of his talent level hustle and work as hard as he does. He leaves everything on the floor every time he steps foot on it. How anyone could not appreciate him is astonishing to me. Not only is he supremely talented, he does everything he can to make sure the team gets the win. In this day and age that is extremely rare. You can have your Kevin Durants and Michael Beasleys all day, give me Tyler Hansbrough. He is a true leader and knows how to win. Thanks Tyler for all you have done for the Tar Heel Nation, you are certainly one of the greatest of all-time.

Rockets Extend Win Streak To 19

Ill be the first to admit that I gave the Rockets no chance without Yao. I didn't think there was any scenario in which they made the playoffs, but somehow they keep proving me wrong. They have now won 19 straight games, 7 without Yao, and are currently the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. This is absolutely astonishing to me. I completely wrote them off when Yao went down, but they haven't missed a beat. This is due in large part to Tracy McGrady's play, he has carried the team and is now a top 5 contender for MVP honors. The Rockets' defense is also a very important key to their success. They are a hard working group of guys that do the little things to get wins. Outside of McGrady and Battier the team consists of a bunch of hard working role players, that do whatever it takes for a victory and it has been working so far. With all this being said the Rockets haven't played a very tough schedule of late, but we will soon see if they are legit with upcoming games against the Lakers, Celtics, Hornets, Warriors and Suns approaching. Winning 3 of these 5 games would be pretty impressive and would legitimize the Yaoless Rockets.

Time To Restructure The NBA

It is time to change the current NBA conference format! The Western Conference has been clearly superior since Jordan left the Bulls. The Western Conference year in and year out is absolutely loaded, and this year is no exception. The East is absolutely pitiful, they have 3 teams that are currently going to make the playoffs WITH A LOSING RECORD!!!!! How in the world can you have 3 teams with losing records make the playoffs? Portland, currently 10th in the West and out off the playoffs, would be the 6th place team in the East That is so ridiculous! This is doing nothing but hurt the NBA. Who wants to watch a team with a losing record play in the playoffs? I certainly do not! Playoffs are supposed to be for teams that have successful seasons NOT LOSING ONES! All you Cleveland fans bragging and boasting about Lebron for MVP and that the Cavs are going to win the title NEWS FLASH YOU WOULD BE THE 10th PLACE TEAM IN THE WEST!!! Yes thats right King James wouldn't even make the playoffs if they were in the West. Lebron over Kobe for MVP is such a joke. Lebron is most certainly the MVP, of the JV league (aka East). Kobe is the best player, on the best team, in the best conference!! Ok enough about the MVP back to restructuring the league. My theory is to completely do away with the conferences. You can leave the divisions just place them all in one conference. The playoffs would then take the 16 best teams and rank them 1-16. This would make sure that the 16 best teams would be in the playoffs and would eliminate the weaker teams that currently make the playoffs under the current system. This would create much better match-ups and would no longer penalize the teams of the West.

Give It Up King James Lovers

I am so sick of hearing Cavs fans trying to say that Lebron James is the best player in the league. This is so absurd, if you have played basketball and know anything about it then it should be obvious that he is not. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world point blank, no questions asked. There isn't a single weakness in his game. He can shoot, drive, jump, rebound, pass, play lock down D, and he is a late game assassin. He is clearly more talented than Lebron, KG, or anyone else you want to throw out there. The man scored 81 points in a game!!!!!! There is no one else in the NBA that is capable of coming close.
Don't get me wrong Lebron is a great talent and he has an extremely bright future, but Kobe is still the best. Kobe has the most complete skill set, maybe ever. YES I SAID EVER!!! That means better than Jordan. Yes Yes even better than the savior of basketball ball himself. Kobe is every bit as talented if not more than Jordan. Most will find this unimaginable. Kobe better than Jordan? Am I crazy? Certainly not Kobe is the most skilled player EVER!!!!! The man is crazy good. His moves are insane. The things he is able to do are flat out amazing. If you don't believe me check out this.

Enough said!
